Weird Tales Magazine August/September 1936

There are a lot of projects out there right now that archive and save old issues of magazines.  I am a collector myself of old "Weird Tales Magazine" and "2000 A.D.", among others.  This week we decided to keep it short and sweet.  Rather than regaling you with tales of troubled authors from a bygone era, we decided to simply offer a scanned pdf of an orignal copy of the August/September issue of 1936 "Weird Tales".

This issue contains the second half of the original "Red Nails".  The original Conan the Barbarian story by Robert E. Howard.  The first half can be found in the complete work here.  There is also a story in this issue by August Dereleth.  We did a write up of him a short while ago that you can find here, as well as two of his other well known works.  When we come across these old issues, from time to time, we will share them with you.  It may not be what you are used to in terms of modern Science Fiction, or Horror, but we hope that you will take some time to indulge in the works of some of the forerunners to those genres.  Who knows, you may learn something.  This copy of Weird Tales is a pdf so it should work on most devices.  It was made from a scan of an original copy of this issue which is evident in the document by the wrinkles and grains in the paper.  We hope you can appreciate that.  Download it here.
